The SOCIUS™ (pronounced “so-she-us”), meaning “Companion” in Latin, is the inaugural knife in the special series celebrating the RUKO® 60th Anniversary. This locking liner folder is equipped with a groundbreaking Super Smooth Ball Bearing Pivot Opening Mechanism, delivering an incredibly fluid action that feels surprisingly like a non-assisted blade. It boasts a razor-sharp 3" fine edge blade crafted from durable 7Cr17MoV steel, enhanced with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating for added corrosion resistance and edge retention (HRC 56-58). The blade includes a flipper guard and thumb rest for safe and comfortable handling.
The handle is made from CNC-machined G10 with diamond checkering that ensures a secure, slip-resistant grip, and it’s fitted with a convenient lanyard loop. Additional features include a thumb hole for easy manual opening and a reversible low-profile pocket clip, accommodating both right- and left-handed users. This sophisticated design merges performance and style, making the SOCIUS™ a reliable everyday carry companion.
